RRP is £149 but you can find it for £99 on the high street stores like Argos if you shop about. With the HUMAX T2 and others in line for release at the $170 mark, this is easily the first choice for all fans of the forthcoming World Cup if you want to watch the tournament in glorious High Definition! With only three channels in true HD the device at least upscales the other standard definition service to 1080p for a more watchable experience but it's not the best upscaling routine on the market (Toshiba will probs be best). Out of the three true HD channels, the BBC service is the best quality by a mile with the other two suffering form a lot of obvious pre-upscaled presentations and 720p level programming. The unit front display is a horror story with the return of huge red LED digits to register every channel change like some digital watch from the 1970's! The remote control will give any cricket bat a run for its money but functions adequately. The EPG is basic but pleasing enough to the eye with onscreen info, Favourites and Channel swap options all delivering decent performance and presentation without any thrills. Is it worth the bucks? Well its this or £70 more for something else in a more dapper suit of clothes and a sexier service if you're lucky! It's no thrills but it'll do the job for the cheapest price this side of June.
