HD Freeview Boxes

If you have a HD ready TV from 2010 you'll be able to use that signal to get freeview HD Channels. BBC HD, ITV HD, Channel 4 HD and S4C HD are all free to view HD channels. To receive the singal you'll need a HD Freeview Box or a TV with build in HD Freeview reciever. If thats too complicated head over to our HD Freeview Guide which explains everything

HD Set Top Box

Technically there are a few different types of HD set top boxes. A SKY HD box will deliever a signal to your TV, HD Freesat box will do the same but both come with additional costs compared to a HD Freeview Box.

HD Receivers

From the start of 2010 the HD singal is being sent out to HD Receivers, region by region the signal is switched on and your HD Receiver will pick up the four channels being transmitted.

HD Freeview Channels

There are currently 4 HD channels, BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and S4C. With a freeview HD Box you'll still get access to all standard freeview channels.
